Congress insists that documents seized in Iraq be made public. Chertoff, Director of Homeland Security, recommends against. The media makes loud noises to cause release them. Congress passes law requiring the documents be released. The documents are made available on the Homeland Security website. Some then don't like what the documents reflect and question their authenticity because there seems to have been weapons of mass destruction in Iraq.

A few days before the 2006 general election, a discovery is made that some documents are so specific re weapons that they pose a security risk, almost a how-to for an atom bomb. Documents were removed from website.

The lefties and their press supporters began the Bush and Chertoff bad drumbeat because they did what was required by law.
