CONGRESSIONAL GUIDE: Is mass resignation too much to ask? One of the things I learned a
long time ago, is that I am so average that my thinking is very similar to at least 75% of the
American people, regardless of political party affiliation. Let's see if that holds true in this case.
If so, politicians beware!!! You know, I am not a Bush fan. However, I am really tired of hearing
his name still repeated over and over by the far-left, and always associated with something bad.
If President Obama is as astute as the far-left would have us believe, he would never mention the
name Bush, or refer to "the mess he inherited" again. George Bush is history. Nothing can be done
to change history. Might as well get over it, and let's look to the future, the only thing that can be
changed or controlled. In my opinion the damage to this nation by the Obama insanity in his first 130
days is 100-fold worse than everything both Bush Presidents did combined. We must get a grip on
our government. We are beginning to resemble the chaos I observed in the Philippines while attending
Snake School enroute to Vietnam in the 1967. That was an unpleasant memory! Have you ever seen
a 12-foot King Cobra? But, that is another story. The current path chosen for our country is more
dangerous that I have observed in my lifetime. That is saying something, as I was trying to command
a F-15 Fighter Squadron when Jimmy Carter was President. I thought times were bad then!!! After
observing the most far-reaching far-left changes in our country's history occur in the past 130 days,
there are a few things I would like to see changed again, and very soon. How about you Mr.and Mrs.
America?

-----I just want Obama's insane spending to stop. We must stop listening to the far-left politicians and
staff members who are paid to support this nonsense. Our debt is already beyond ever being repaid,
unless the dollar is devalued to the point where it is worthless. Maybe that is the plan. If not, there
is no plan.

-----I would like to see our President stop apologizing for America. It makes me believe he does
not understand and appreciate the enormously positive role this country has played in maintaining
freedom around the world. For example, Europe would be speaking German twice over, if it were not
for American blood and treasure. The WWII generation was the last generation to truly understand
sacrifice for freedom. We should treasure them, and never apologize for their contribution to saving
those to whom our President appears to be constantly apologizing to.

-----I would like to see the majority of both Democrats and Republicans voted out of office, and
replaced with young patriots who support term limits. A good place to look for replacements is our
returning soldiers who have served in the Middle-East. They understand and appreciate life in this
country. They were willing to die to protect that way of life. How may of our present elected officials
can make that statement?

-----I would like to see strict term limits set at six two-year terms for the House and two six-year
terms for the Senate. And for goodness sake, leave the President's term limit alone at two four-year
terms.

-----I would like to see even the mention of ear-marks and pork-spending become a felony!!!

-----I would like to see our military rebuilt so strong that no country on this planet would dare attack
us. Deterrence prevents war. And while we are at it, let's insure this nation buys the right stuff. For
example, I would like to see the buy on our new F-22 fighter increased to the point of maintaining
air-dominance for the next 50 years, as it has been for the past 50 years. I like lots of insurance when
it comes to protecting this great nation. Boy, will that one burn Obama and his cronies' whiskers!!!
They are destroying our military as we speak, as they are convinced Obama is gifted to the point of
talking his way out of anything. North Korea, Iran, China and Russia are all laughing their butts off
over that one.

-----I would like to see us completely pull out of Afghanistan. The Soviet Union proved many points
there, and none were good. It is a totally different situation than Iraq. To win in Afghanistan, first we
must win in Pakistan, and the American people are not willing to pay that price. It will become
Obama's Vietnam, and for what reason? Enough of our young have died in the Middle-East. Please
see the above concerning building our military strong enough that it will never need to be used.

-----I would like to see our health care system left alone. Let's offer a plan for those not covered, but
do it through the private sector. Government should be kept as far away from this program as possible.
I lived under a socialized medical program for over 30 years. It was called military health care and it
sucked.

-----I would like to see our government severely limited and forced out of the auto and banking
business. If a company can't cut it, let them use bankruptcy as our law allows. Who came up with
this idea of too big to fail? It had to be someone in government drawing a salary far too large for
their level of thinking.

-----I would like to see taxes reduced and in proportion to what is paid. If we want to reduce
unemployment and see the economy soar, reduce tax rates on small business and provide assistance
at that level, as opposed to General Motors. Where do we get these Harvard lunkheads who can only
suggest government intervention and massive spending? This is not Rocket Science. They just want
you, the American people, to think it so.

-----Did I say already that even the mention of pork-spending by our Congress should be considered
a felony---and retroactive? -----I would like our guns left alone. There is no controversy here. We
have an Amendment to our Constitution clearly giving gun rights to American citizens. By the way,
did I already say that to even allude to a "living Constitution", or suggest any deviation to our
Constitution should be considered a felony offense?

-----I think we should maintain separation of Church and State. But, we should fully understand
what that means. It does not mean that we cannot post the Ten Commandments anywhere we wish,
use white crosses to mark the graves of our fallen soldiers, use the word "God" on our coins, and
let those among us worship as they please. Does that not ring a bell even for those who skipped
high school and went directly to Harvard? One of the factors leading to the founding of this nation
was the search for religious freedom. I often wonder what is really being taught in our schools, when
basic thought like this is not understood. Well, there is so much more I would like to add, but I am
already worried about the far-left, attack and destroy tactics being planned for me, and Hobbs
(my Chinese Pug). However, those guys had best be careful. Those high paying government jobs are
probably going to no longer be available when Sara is elected President. They might want to start
hiding in the woodwork now.

AMERICAS NEW ANTHEM -----WHAT HAVE WE DONE

After all the warnings, hand wringing, and savage talk, America chose to do what would never be
thought possible only a few years ago---elect a far-left President and Congress hell-bent on
CHANGING\rdblquote this country into a Socialist State. Sometimes, I wonder how many
Americans understand what this really means. My thoughts initially were to give the new President
a chance, and not make snap decisions based on out-of-control rhetoric during the campaign. Well,
that worked well, and now we are beginning to see that the President is doing exactly what he
promised during the campaign, and NO ONE LISTENED!!! The masses were overwhelmed with
silver-tongued, no-logic promises that most knew could never be fulfilled.

Soon, the American people will have witnessed enough of this madness. They are a smart lot, and
when they have seen enough they will start to ask the big question, WHAT HAVE WE
DONE? However, the real question will be, IS IT TOO LATE?

I do not wish to dwell on the multitude of mistakes that have already been made during the first 60
days of this administration, both foreign and domestic. It must be obvious even to the fiscally
irresponsible far-left that the nation is heading unimpeded toward bankruptcy. We hear the President
speak often of the deficit. He is not talking about the national debt. He is talking about the rate in
which we are increasing the debt. So when he says he will cut the deficit in half by the end of his
first term, he is actually saying he will cut the rate at which the debt is increasing by the end of his
first term. That is absolutely not good enough. Even Bill Clinton, with the help of a Republican
Congress, showed a surplus in deficit spending for a short period. That is accomplished only when
you have a growing economy. Now equate that to our economic situation today, and it is obvious this
is just another fabrication conjured up by this administration. AMERICANS WAKE UP before it is
too late. It is highly probably that the debt is not repayable even as we speak, and it is growing at the
most alarming rate in history. Just the annual interest on the current debt is larger than our annual
military budget.

Even more frightening is the fact that the President and his cross-party impaired Secretary of Defense
have decided to reduce the capability of our military by cutting funding for many badly needed
weapon systems, which were designed to replace old and worn out existing systems. The US Air
Force F-22 comes to mind. A bird designed to provide Air Superiority for the next 50 years. The
initial contract for this system was for near 700 aircraft. It has been cut to 183 now, and possible
even will be ended early. Thank you far-left politicians, as your timing is great. Again, as during the
Jimmy Carter years, you are cutting our military in favor of increasing welfare and social programs.
At least when Jimmy Carter did his infamous magic act, we were not facing a major threat. However,
today we face the most serious threat to this nation since WWII. For goodness sake, what part of
this does Obama, Clinton, Pelosi, Reed, Schumer, Murtha, Kerry, Durbin, Maxine, Waxman, Boxer,
Feinstein, (and on and on), not understand.

Now, here is a strange, new thought. Why not put a large portion of that stimulus money toward
expanding and equipping our military. Many good folks who were there will tell you that the Great
Depression was ended because of our war production preparing to enter WWII, not the mumbling
and bungling of FDR. I believe this to be true, so why not kill several birds with one stone. Why
not stimulate the economy by rebuilding/expanding the greatest institution in this country, our US
Military. At the same time we would be rebuilding deterrence capable of defeating conventional
enemies on two fronts without stressing our forces, as our civilian-leader-developed doctrine has
dictated throughout the history of this nation. Why not rebuild an infrastructure capable of produc-
ing again, save the auto manufacturing capability and put people back to work. Was it Ronald Reagan
who said, There has never been a nation attacked because it was too strong\rdblquote ?
And, oh by the way, talking to, and appeasing Middle-East terrorist---please give me a break!!!
These are complex times, but they warrant simple answers that work. It will be fun to watch the
far-left spin this one, as their lame brained approach continues to fail!

Conservatives out number the far-left by large numbers, and I realize I am preaching to the choir.
I spent the majority of my adult life wearing the uniform of this country, and I still bear allegiance to
the oath I took many years ago to defend this nation against all enemies, both foreign and
domestic. That is why I continue to utter phrases such as, How many times have
you heard the phrase, AMERICA WAKE UP??? Well, it is time for AMERICA TO
WAKE UP, before the dream has ended. There was a lot of prepping and planning over a long
period of time to get us to the devilish point we are at today, and it will take serious thought and
effort if we are to reverse it. Because conservatives have the numbers, it is possible to turn this
around, but they must wake up and act. I am absolutely sure there are some good clear-thinking
Democrats out there who feel the same. Together, with our combined power of the vote, we can fix
this, and the parties can begin to work together again for the benefit of this great nation.

Lets take it one step at a time. First, it is imperative that we restore some form of
check-and-balance to our government. Again, I know there are many great Democrats and
Republicans out there who understand the problem, and want to restore this country to its path
of greatness. I am neither, but I am a conservative who understands the danger of any political
party possessing a majority in all three branches of government. A one-party system is simply a
dictatorship. The overwhelming threat today is that the controlling party is a well financed, far-left,
Socialist group who have gained control of the Democratic Party. It is so essential that the people,
both Democrat and Republican, take a close look at what is happening. This movement can be
brought to a crawl, or maybe even stopped, simply by real Americans going to the polls and casting
sensible vote. This next election cycle is crucial to the future of America. Common sense must
prevail!!! It will go against all odds, but achieving a majority in the US Senate by the Republican
Party is the only way to restore the common-sensed check-and-balance system that has made this
country great. If the roles were reversed, and the Republicans Party was dominant, the same would
be true.

In summary, the solution for the short term is simple. Clear thinking Democrats and Republicans,
both, have a duty to do what is right for America. They should band together to create a Congress
that represents all the people, that is accepting of new ideas and listens to the people. With the
current crop of self-indulgent politicians in Washington today, it is impossible to adopt
term limits, which are part of the long term solution. However, it is possible to vote
for more equity in maintaining a true two-party system. So, if you are beginning to question what
is happening to our country under the current administration, and on the fence about what can be
done, make the question of maintaining a viable the two-party system a major consideration when
casting your vote in the next election. THE FUTURE OF OUR KIDS DEPENDS UPON IT!!!!

THE VALUE OF MILITARY ANALYISTS

The most patriotic group of individuals found in this country today has just been assaulted by the
New York Times and Representative Ike Skelton (D-Mo). I refer to the recent article in the New
York Times concerning Military Analysts attempting to convey what is going on around the world
from a military point of view. These men have spent their lives being schooled and living these
issues. They are an invaluable source of information to the American public. Modern day issues
are so complex that it is impossible to define them in a two minute TV segment, and these analysts
normally follow up with articles which give greater depth and understanding. Who in this country
is more qualified? Everyone I know is grateful for their efforts to add perspective.

The Pentagon realized long ago that news networks valued input by retired military professionals,
so information was provided to these individuals. This effort was never meant to sway their opinion,
but to insure they had accurate and current information to convey to the public. How many of you
have ever tried to sway the opinion of a retired military member who served 20 or 30 years defending
this nation? Try it sometime. I think you might be surprised, and maybe even entertained.

I am personally a good example. Altogether, I served over 35 years combined duty in the Army
National Guard, ArmReserve and on US Air Force active duty (29 years active duty). I learned early
how lucky I was to be born in this country. I have never taken for granted the freedoms we have,
nor the price we have paid for them.

When I retired from the US Air Force, I vowed to come back to Montana to fish, fly airplanes, ride
motorcycles, and enjoy life as long as health permitted. I had no desire to become part of the Military
Industrial Complex (whatever that is), nor to make money based on any ill-conceived plan that could
remotely hurt this great nation in any way, as alluded to by master distorters from the New York
Times.

I have never taken one penny for my writings, appearing on talk shows, speaking locally or otherwise.
I have not been on an Air Force Base in over 10 years, and avoided the Pentagon like the plague,
even while on active duty. Also, I initially vowed to remain very quiet, and worked hard not to
influence local opinion. It is the American way to let the people decide on issues, based on their
own merit.

About two years ago, this attitude changed. I began to see the local, Socialist-Leaning, Far-Left
types in our beautiful valley begin to dominate our local newspaper. You know who they are. They
write almost daily, and are basically country hating, military hating, Bush hating, haters. Many of
you read my articles, and write telling me that you refuse to read their stuff as soon as you see
their names.

I woke up one morning and decided that someone had to at least attempt to set the record straight.
The far-left diatribes were hurting the country and our state, especially when the country is being
threatened to the degree it is today. I wrote an article, and it received such a positive response it
was overwhelming to me. The people wanted to hear the truth, so I wrote another. FOLKS, THE
PENTAGON HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH MY DECISION TO SUPPORT WHAT IS RIGHT
WITH AMERICA!!!!! I take real offense to the far-left comment, “B/G Jim Cash, whose columns
are loaded with dire statistics that only a fool would believe he carries around in his head.” What he
means is that the Pentagon is feeding me the statistics, so that I might influence you.

This is criminal in my opinion. These statistics are available from a multitude of different sources,
and I simply put them together in, hopefully, an easy to read format. In fact, I do carry most of them
in my head, as I was personally influenced negatively every time I served under a Democratic
President. In this short article, I cannot convey to you how difficult it was to serve under Jimmy
Carter. The Clintons like to tell you how terrible it is that our young men and women are serving 15
month tours in Iraq, when Bill Clinton’s downsizing of our military is the direct cause of those long
tours. Retired military, as well as active duty, attempted to deter that massive downsizing, but
Clinton was Hell-Bent on capitalizing on the non-existent “Peace Dividend” after the collapse of the
old Soviet Union.

My friends, someone has to get the truth out to the American people, and the only group I see doing
that right now is our retired Military Analysts. All others are wrapped up in petty squabbling and
trying to win elections. Now, the far-left has sunk to the level of attacking the most patriotic group
in America, our retired military. That is unforgivable.

On a personal note, I know retired M/G Paul Vallely and LTG Tom McInerney very well, and I am
proud to call them friends. I would put my life, and the life blood of this country, in their hands any
time. Combined, these two patriots have devoted nearly 70 years to defending this nation. If money
had been their aim, they could have easily gone into industry to become CEOs of major companies.
To make an insane insinuation (as the Times did) that these two men, acting as puppets for the
Pentagon, would distort what is happening during wartime is beneath contempt.

It is my considered opinion that the far-left has reached a new low. We have seen all the far-left
radio and TV talk shows fail, or suffer low ratings that are leading to failure. This certainly includes
the mainstream media. We have seen a few retired military members like Wesley Clark attempt to
curry favor with the far left in an attempt to secure Cabinet level appointments should the Democrats
win the Presidency this year. We have also seen the Democratic Party take control of our Congress
and fail miserably.

On the other hand, we see the Conservative talk shows grow stronger, due in part to their use of
military professionals committed to the welfare of this country. I would guess that well over 90%
of retired military members are conservative in nature, and they are not reluctant to speak out. First,
we recently saw the Left attempt to pass laws that would force radio talk show hosts to give equal
time to the Left, as the left-leaning shows could not make it on their own. That effort failed. Now,
the far-left, New York Times has convinced Missouri Democrat and House Armed Services Committee
Chairman, Ike Skelton, to attempt to silence retired military members though congressional action.. it is
as if he feels they are not worthy of the First Amendment’s right to free speech. Like most Democrats
these days, he was foolish enough to bite on this nonsense.

My question to the nation is simply, HOW FAR WILL WE LET THESE FAR-LEFT LOONEY-TUNES
go, before we vote them all out of office and stop buying their propaganda. I am in great hope that the
good Americans of this country can see through the fog created by the far-left in an attempt to win
elections, even though logic and truth are, and never have been, on their side.

THE ESSENCE OF OBAMA

First, Obama refused to display the American Flag on his lapel. Then, he refused to distance himself
from his America hating, racist, and self promoting minister, the despicable Reverend Wright.
Now, he is giving some lame excuse for not respecting and following proper protocol when our
National Anthem is played.

That lame Obama excuse is, “as I have said before, I do not want to be perceived as taking sides”.
Further, he says, “There are a lot of people in the world to whom the American Flag is a symbol
of oppression. And, the anthem itself conveys a war-like message. You know, the bombs bursting
in air and all. It should be swapped for something less parochial and less bellicose. I like the song---
I’d like to teach the World to Sing---If that was our anthem, then I might acknowledge it”. I would
sure like to know who he is afraid to take sides with.

This is the man who wants to become the Commander-in-Chief of our armed forces, leader of the free
world, and role model to our children.

Please allow me to share with you the level at which our flag and anthem is honored on all our military
bases. First, the flag is never displayed at night unless properly lighted. Early in the morning after
sunrise, every military installation in the nation has a ceremony as the flag is hosted. Prior to sunset,
a similar ceremony is performed where the flag is brought down, and folded with great care, then
stored for the night. It is never allowed to touch the ground. These ceremonies are conducted by
impeccably dressed uniformed personnel and accompanied by appropriate music. During the
ceremony all traffic on base is brought to a halt, again, in honor of the flag. When the flag becomes
old and faded, it is retired with ceremony, and burned. Military personnel love the flag, as it is a
symbol of our country, and that is what they have taken an oath to defend---to their deaths.

Military personnel, both active and retired, stand and salute the flag as it passes by. I have seen
wheel-chair bound vets struggle to stand when the flag passes by. The same respect is paid when
our National Anthem is played. Sometimes, I wonder if our military members are the only
America loving group left in this country. Berkley, you should truly be ashamed!!!!

I am sure you can imagine how veterans feel when an America hating, low life individual is allowed
to burn the flag, or spit on it, or stomp on it with dirty feet. But, can you imagine how they will feel
watching their Commander-in-Chief degrade it, refuse to honor it, and even change our National
Anthem to, “I’d like to teach the world to sing in perfect harmony”???

How can we justify supporting a man who has spent over two decades attending a church, whose
minister instead of proclaiming, “God-Bless America” in front of our children, shouts,
“God-Damn America” over and over. Does anyone out there really believe that Obama did not
know what was going on in that church? TO DENY IS TO LIE!!! Both right and left all know
deep down that he is very good at that.

Never in my life did I think I would look at Hillary Clinton with any kind of positive thought.
However, it appears that there is a group of people in this country so ill informed, so blinded
by charisma, so deaf to nonsense, that they will support a far-left, anti-American, silver-tongued,
foolish man with a Socialist agenda like Barrack Hussein Obama. He makes Hillary Clinton
appear angelic. I realize that she is obsessed with winning and totally self-serving also, but I have
never heard her say, or do, anything that leads me to believe she hates this country, or openly
displays obvious racist tendencies.

However, I have heard Obama say several times that, “We live in the greatest nation in the
world, and I am going to change it”. Again, my question is, “what does he mean by change?
What is he going to change it to?”

I somehow understand the youth of America being taken in by a young, black, silver-tongued,
motivational speaker. Their experience is limited, and their attitudes will change as their life
progresses, and they feel the sting of a burn or two. However, I have no patience at all with mature
Americans who seemingly cannot think their way out of a paper bag. I am speaking of those
who go to rallies and act like groupies, applauding Obama when he blows his nose.
FOLKS, WE MUST WAKE UP!!!!! There are good people out there who understand what
I am talking about here, but they are remaining far too quiet.

It is time for these Americans to stand up for their Country, their Religion, and their Rights.
No other nation on earth supports the standard of living that we experience in America.
Every living, breathing, citizen of this country should say a little prayer each night recognizing
how fortunate they are to have been born here. If we lose that standard, it will be
lost because of the apathy of the American people.

George Bush has many faults, and has made many mistakes. However, it defies gravity
to me that the far-left can profess such hate for Bush, and then show strong support for
the likes of an Obama. Folks, if you think about it long, hard, and with focus, two plus
two will normally make four. Another way to look at it is, if it walks like a duck and it
quacks like a duck, it probably is a friggin’ duck.

SOCIALISM - IS AMERICA READY

The last time this country was confronted with the possibility of electing a socialist leaning presi-
dent was in 1972, and George McGovern was the candidate. I was assigned to the United States
Air Force Academy as an AOC (Air Officer Commanding) at the time. At a weekly meeting with
the Commandant of Cadets, the Brigadier General said, "Gentelmen during this election, you again
have the opportunity to do something good for your country." He did not tell us how to vote, but
we all understood what he meant. George McGovern would dismantle the US military, as was done
immediately following WWII. This did not quite make sense, as we still in the middle of a war in
Vietnam from which I had just returned. There were forty young patriots in that room, and all ex-
haled Red, White, and Blue. We understood that susch a philosophy would seriously jeopardize
the welfare and the security of our country. Guess where we stood???

The American People soundly rejected George McGovern's polotics, and the Democratic Party
learned a valuable lesson. America was not ready for Socialism, so the Democrats moved the party
closer to the center.

The question remains, where does the country stand today? Faced with the same option, will a sleepy
American people allow the disaster to occur in 2008. There have been some changes since 1972 that
may allow the unthinkable to happen. I spent my entire working life-time training to defend, or defend-
ing, this great nation against the threat of Socialism, which I define as "practice Communism." My
greatest fear today is that even though the external threat was unable to accomplish the unthinkable,
it might be possible from within.

During the Mccarthy years of the 1950s, Socialists in this country were forced to hide our find cover.
Blacklists were prevalent in Hollywood, and the mood of the country left little room for the left
leaning. As could be predicted, the far-left found refuge for most part in the Democratic Party.
Occasionaaly, they raised dtheir heads, such as in 1972, but just as often they were met with rejection.
It appears that the trend has run its course. Extreme amounts of money from the far-left have
energized the Democrat Party, the Hollywood elite and the enriched main-stream media. Blitzed by
the constant ranting from these sources, it appears the american people are equally divided between
the two major political parties. This is frightening to me.

I must admit to being a present day conservative, which was not always the case. I remember in 1960
casting my very first vote in a Presidential election, for JFK. I was right out of college and a new
electrical engineer ready to concur the world. Looking back, JFK would mke a pretty good
Republican in this day and age. So, things change, and the Democratic Party left me. I did not leave it.
The party moved so far left, that I could no longer support its outlandish pursuits, such as redistri-
bution of wealth, over taxation, and the government controlof everything. It has become obvious that
the present day Democratic Party was not the one our Fathers knew and supported.

Look with an open mind at the Democratic Party over the past 12 months, and it is revealing. the
American people are tired of the war in Iraq, but not those fighting it, which is reflected in the polls.
The Democrats are totally poll driven, so they have gone overboard in degrading the war effort, and
unfortunately, those who are fighting it. Let's look at a few who run our country now and in the past.

Harry Reid, the Senate Majority Leader, knows that the tide has turned in the Iraqi war, which is
absolutely the heart of the War-On-Terror in the broader picture. His prediction that "the war is lost',
at a time our troops were giving their lives in the pursuit of success, was totally wrong. Yet, he still
attempts to send legislation to the President demanding immediate surrender and with-drawal. This
is the work of a traitor in my opinion.

Nancy Pelosi, the Speaker of the House, continues to sport the deer-in-the-headlight smile and support
Reud. My question is simply, will she ever get over her elevated position of being third in line for the
Presidency, and start thinking of more important isssues. In my opinion, Ms Pelosi is the classic, closet
socialist, but then, she has an enormous amount of company in the Democratic Party. It is tough remain-
ing number one.

John Murtha served in Korea, but I understand he never made it to the war zone. He plays the war
hero card, yet he does nothing but oppose, and degrade, our men and women in uniform.

John Kerry (I realize you are tired of hearing about this guy, but he is the Democratic mold in my opinion)
voted against the Bradley Fighting Vehicle, The M-1 Abrams tank, every Aircraft Carrier since 1988, the
Agis anti-aircraft system, the F-15 Strike Eagle, newer F-16 upgrades, the P-3 Orion upgrade, and to kill
the B-1 Bomber. He is truely anti-military and a liar to boot, which detrimentally affected our efforts in
Vietnam, and now the Middle-East. This guy actually had the audacity to run for President of this great
nation. again, the people were smart enough to reject such nonsense.

I understand Dick Durbin has accused our troops a Guantonimo of being Nazis, tenders of Soviet style
gulags and bad as Pol Pot, who murdered two million of his own people. Yea, these guys sure support
or troops.

Ted Kennedy appears to be anti-military, anti-America, and should have served hard time over the death
of Mary Jo Kopeckni years ago. I honestly don't think he has had a clear thought in 20 years---just my
opinion, I could be wrong.

In my opinion the bottom of this barrel may be Al Gore. Gore is a loser, and a poor one at that. He now
needs a cause. What better than an emotional issue like global warming, whwich cannot be proven one
way or the other. He is smart, but could care less about this nation. Gore is becoming a very rich man
with this single-minded idea, and when he feels he might win, we will see him again running hard from
the far-left.

Jimmy Carter, the father of the Radical-Islam movement, aided the downfall of the Shah of Iran in 1979,
allowing the Ayatollah Khomeini to begin the Radical-Islam resurgence we are witnessing today. No
need to mention the 18% inflation rate and 18% interest rates during his tax-raising term. Will they never
learn that tax breaks fuel the economy?

I think the following far-left names are self explanatory: Russ Feingold, Chuck Schumer, Diane Feinstern,
Barbara Boxer, Carl Levine, George Soros, Jane Fonda, Sean Penn, Michael Moore, George Clooney (now
there is an intellect0, Susan Sarandon, Tim Robbins, Danny Glover, and the list goes on, and on, and on.
There is no shame.

The collective stupidity of these clowns has the potential to destroy this country, after they turn it into a
Socialist, then communist State. Putin is smiling right now. The poloticians above are self-serving fools who
despise President Bush, and whose insane drive to regain political power guides their actions, not what is
good for the country or the people. Again, it is my opinion. Some may think I am wrong.

Now, after all these words, what is the point to this story?---Hillary Clinton!!! I smile when I hear Hillary
speak about other candidate's lack of experience. Hillary has no experience at all, except as under-study
to her husband, Bill Clinton. Now there is a role model. Let's take a look at who was her teacher.

Bill Clinton signed enlistment papers and took an oath of enlistment to serve in Sept, 1969, then failed to
show at his military duty station. He was reclassified 1-A on Oct 30, 1969, as his enlistment with the
Reserves was revoked making him officially AWOL. He avoided all the consequences of those misdeeds,
and received a pardon by President Jimmy Carter Jan 21, 1977. Bill Clinton was the first President of the
United States who was a pardoned FELON, and then he went on to be IMPEACHED.

When you hear the Democrats preach about our troops serving long, multiple tours in Iraq, please keep
this in mind. As memory serves me, Bill Clinton reduced our military by:

-----709,000 Regular Active duty Personnel

-----293,000 Reserve Troops

-----Eight Army Divisions

-----20 Air Force and Navy Air Wings with 2,000 Combat Aircraft

-----232 Strategic Bombers

-----19 Strategic Missile Submarines

-----Four Aircraft Carriers and 121 Surface Combat Ships and Submarines.

-----and on, and on, and on.

I must admit to being one who truly believes it is time this country includes women as prospective choices
for President of the United States, but Hillary Clinton is not one of them.

I must ask the question of even those real Democrats (not the far-left who embrace Socialism), do we
really want to see, hear and smell the Clintons again, and for possibly another eight years. I am in
great hope that the answer to that question is the same as it was for George McGovern---a very firm,
yet loud---NO.

In conclusion, let me say again, no country in the world can present a true conventional threat to this
great nation. The threat comes from apathy---Apathy rom good, American people, who are paddling as
fast as they can. There is little time left to get deeply involved with politics after taking care of family
and the daily grind of making a living.

However, we are at the McGovern cross-roads again. The outcome of the 2008 election will affect
every breating individual in this country. Socialized medicine, doing away with the Bush tax cuts,
increasing taxes, reducing the military at a time this country faces possibly the biggets threat in its history,
cutting and running in the Middle-East, allowing Iran to develope nuclear weapons and becoming dominant
in the Middle-East, bowing to the will of George Soroa, the Hollywood Elite, and enriched far-left news
organizations, and living with the risk of more Clinton level scandals and indiscretions is beyond comp-
rehension to me.

My plea is for all Americans to look closely at what has occurred during the past 12 months in the
Democratic Congress, and visualize the state of our country after four years of Hillary Clinton
backed by a Democrat controlled House and Senate. I think that is scary enough to awaken the good
Democrats, and even an apathetic nation.

CLASSIC DEMOCRAT SELF-DECEPTION

"My position on the war has not changed. We need to get out now, even though it looks like our
troops are making progress. The sheiks are responsible for the deaths being down, not the work of
our troops. The mission is complete, we are spending money uselessly. I haven't changed my stance
at all. We need to de-authorize the was and come home, says Montana Senator Jon Tester.

With that as a back-drop, Jon Tester, fresh from a trip to Iraq, continues to read from the Socialist,
Far-Left notebook and then has the audacity to say, "Our troops have done an incredible job over
there." This comes from a man who has never been ion the other side of the Atlantic, reacts only as
the far-left directs him to react, and is an embarrassment not only to the people of Montana, but the
rest of the US Senate as well. We see many older Democratic Senators who have not had a clear
thought in 30 years, but Mr. Tester is a young man and cannot use age as an excuse.

The entire Middle-East is watching what is happening politically in the US right now. Every country
in the region is worried that we will cut-and-run, leaving Iran as the dominant force. They will not
openly say such, because they are afraid to burn bridges with Iran in the event the Democrats win in
2008, and we actually do leave the area without total victory.

Saudi Arabia has been the stabilizing influence on oil prices for years. As OPEC raised the prices,
Saudi has increased production keeping the price per barrel acceptable to the US. That is slowly
changing now, because foolish people like Tester have convinced them that the US is going to elect a
far-left, socialist leaning Government, that will leave the Middle-East prematurely. Where will that
leave Saudi Arabia and others in the region? It will leave them at the will of Iranian psychopaths, en-
riching uranium. They will not take the chance of alienating such insanity.

I have been watching this charade since being assigned as the Director of Operations for 9th Air
Force and US Central Command, headquartered at MacDill AFB, Tampa, Florida (I commanded that
Air Force Base in 1985 and 1986). Countries in the Middle-East are very supportive of the US behind
closed doors, but they are extremely sensitive to how they are perceived by others in the region.
IF WE OPENLY TELL THE WORLD THAT WE ARE GOING TO LEAVE, AND THEIR
SECURITY BLANKET IS BEING PULLED, THEIR SUPPORT WILL IMMEDIATELY GO TO
THE OTHER SIDE. It is the way of the world over there. And Jon Tester, along with the most of
the Democratic Party is too foolish to understand!!!!!

It is time to face facts about the Middle-East. It makes no difference why we went in militarily. We
are there! IT IS IN THE NATIONAL INTEREST OF THIS COUNTRY TO REMAIN A STRONG
PRESENCE UNTIL STABILITY IS ACHIEVED.

Until we, the American people, are willing to elect members of government with the guts to declare
a national goal of energy independence within the next decade, and are willing [to] make the sacri-
fices necessary to attain that goal, we will remain dependant on Middle-East Oil. That means a
strong presence in the region will be absolutely necessary.

Now, it is time to tell the half dozen far-left Socialist zealots who continue to write to the Daily
Interlake, spew their idiotism about pursuing a diplomatic solution to the Middle-East, and do no-
thing but mouth from the far-left's playbook of "Cut-and-Run-Philosophy" to BUZZ-OFF.

It is also time to get serious about voting out the likes of Jon Tester. He is a follower, and has
picked the wrong mule to follow. The next decade is going to be the most dangerous in this nation's
history, and laced with seemingly unsolvable problems. In my opinion it makes no difference
whether they are Democrats, Republicans or Independents. WE MUST ELECT SMART,
WORLDLY PEOPLE WHO PUT COUNTRY FIRST AND SELF LAST!!!!! The division between
Parties must end. We must become united. We have Hugo Chavez in South America, China with an
enormous trade imbalance, and a resurgence of Russia (Soviet Union wannabes -- remember the
Cold War) to contend with. After watching Tester for some time now, and reading his illogical
positions in the news, it has become obvious he is not up to even understanding the magnitude of the
threat

MIDDLE EAST IMPERATIVE

BY

JIM CASH, Brig. Gen., USAF, Ret.

I wrote recently about the war in Iraq and the larger war against radical Islam, eliciting a
number of responses. Let me try and put this conflict in proper perspective.

Understand, the current battle we are engaged in is much bigger than just Iraq .What
happens in the next year will affect this country and how our kids and grandkids live
throughout their lifetime, and beyond. Radical Islam has been attacking the West since the
seventh century .They have been defeated in the past and decimated to the point of taking
hundreds of years to recover. But they can never be totally defeated. Their birth rates are so
far beyond civilized world rates that in time they recover and attempt to dominate again.

There are eight terror-sponsoring countries that make up the grand threat to the West.
Two, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan , just need firm pressure from the West to make major
reforms. They need to decide who they are really going to support and commit to that
support. That answer is simple. They both will support who they think will hang in there
until the end, and win. We are not sending very good signals in that direction right now,
thanks to the Democrats.

The other six, Aghanistan , Iraq , Iran , Syria, North Korea and Libya win require regime
change or a major policy shift. Now, let's look more closely.

Aghanistan and Iraq have both had regime changes, but are being fueled by outsiders
from Syria and Iran .We have scared Gaddafi's pants off, and he has given up his quest
for nuclear weapons, so I don't think Libya is now a threat. North Korea
(the non-Islamic threat) can be handled diplomatically by buying them off. They are
starving. That leaves Syria and Iran .Syria is like a frightened puppy. Without the
support of Iran they will join the stronger side. So where does that leave us? Sooner, or later,
we are going to be forced to confront Iran , and it better be before they gain nuclear capability .

In 1989 I served as a Command Director inside the Cheyenne Mountain complex located
in Colorado Springs, Colorado for almost three years. My job there was to observe
(through classified means) every missile shot anywhere in the world and assess if it was a
threat to the US or Canada . If any shot was threatening to either nation I had only minutes
to advise the President, as he had only minutes to respond. I watched Iranand Iraq shoot
missiles at each other every day, and all day long, for months. They killed hundreds of
thousand of their people. Know why? They were fighting for control of the Middle East
and that enormous oil supply.

At that time, they were preoccupied with their internal problems and could care less
about toppling the west. Oil prices were fairly stable and we couldnot see an immediate
threat. Well, the worst part of what we have done as a nation in Iraq is to do away with
the military capability of one of those nations. Now, Iran has a clear field to dominate the
Middle East, since Iraq is no longer a threat to them. They have turned their attention to the
only other threat to their dominance, the United States. They are convinced they will win,
because the United States is so divided, and the Democrats (who now controlCongress and
may control the Presidency in 2008) have openly said we are pulling out.

Do you have any idea what will happen if the entire Middle East turns their support
to Iran , which they will obviously do if we pull out? It is not the price of oil we will
have to worry about. Oil will not bemade available to this country at any price. I
personally would vote for any presidential candidate who did what JFK did with the
space program--declare a goal to bring this country to total energy independence in a decade.

Yes, it is about oil. The economy in this country will totally die if dIat Middle East
supply is cut off right now. It will not be a recession. It will be adepression that will
make 1929 look like the "good-old-days".

The bottom line here is simple. If Iran is forced to fall in line, the fighting in Iraq
will end over night, and the nightmare will be over. One way or another,Iran must be
forced to join modern times and the global community .It may mean a real war--if so,
now is the time, before we face a nuclear Iran with thecapacity to destroy Israel and
begin a new ice age. I urge you to read the book "END GAME" by two of our best
Middle East experts, true American patriots and retired military generals, Paul Vallely
and Tom Mclnerney .They are our finest, and totally honest in their assessment of
why victory in the Middle East is so important, and how it can be won. Proceeds for
the book go directly to memorial fund for our fallen soldiers who served the country
during the war on terror. You can find that book by going to the internet through
Stand-up America at www .ospreyradio.us or www .rightalk.com.

On the other hand, we have several very angry retired generals today, who evidently
have not achieved their lofty goals, and insist on ranting and raving about the war.
They are wrong, and doing the country great hann by giving a certain political party
reason to use them as experts to back their anti-war claims.

You may be one of those who believe nothing could ever be terrible enough to support
our going to war .If that is the case I shoul d stop here, as that level of thinking
approaches mental disability in this day and age. I1 is right up there with alien
abductions and high altitude seeding through government aircraft contrails. I helped
produced those contrails for almost 30 years, and I can assure you we were not seeding
the atmosphere. The human race is a war-likepopulation, and if a country is not willing
to protect itself, it deserves the consequences. Nuff-said!!!

Now, my last comments will get to the nerve. They will be on politics. I am not a
Republican. And, George Bush has made enough mistakes as President to insure my
feelings about that for the rest of my life. However, the Democratic party has moved
so far left, they have made me support those farther to the right. I am a conservative
who totally supports the Constitution of this country .The only difference between the
United States and the South American, third world, dictator infested and ever-changing
South American governments, is our US Constitution.

This Republic (note I did not say Democracy) is the longest standing the world has
ever known, but it is vulnerable. It would take so little to change it through economic
upheaval. There was a time when politicians could disagree, but still work together.
We are past that time, and that is the initial step toward the downfall of our form of
government. I think that many view Bush-hating as payback time. The Republicans
hated the Clintons and now the Democrats hate Bush. So, both parties are putting
their hate toward willingness to do anything for politicaldominance to include lying
and always takingthe opposite stand just for the sake of being opposed. JUST HOW
GOOD IS THAT FOR OUR COUNTRY?

In my lifetime, after serving in uniform for President's Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon,
Ford, Carter, Reagan, and Bush I have a pretty good feel for which party
supported our military , and what military life was like under each of their terms.
And, let me assure you that times were best under the Republicans.Service under
Jimmy Carter was devastating for all branches of the military .And, Ronald Regan
was truly a salvation. You can choose to listen to enrichednewscasters, and foolish
people like John Murtha (he is no war hero), Nancy Pelosi, John Kerry, Michael
Moore, Jane Fonda , Harry Reid, Russ Feingold, Hillary Clinton, Ted Kennedy,
and on-and-on to include the true fools in Hollywood if you like. If you do, your
conclusions will be totally wrong.

The reason that I write, appear on radio talk shows, and do everything I can
to denounce those people is simple. THEY ARE PUTTING THIER THIRST
FOR POLITICAL POWER AND QUEST FOR VICTORY IN 2008 ABOVE WHAT
IS BEST FOR THIS COUNTRY.

I cannot abide that. Pelosi clearly defied the Logan Act by going to Syria,
which should have lead to imprisonment of three yearsand a heavy fine. Jane
Fonda did more to prolong the Vietnam war longer than any other human being
(as acknowledged by Ho Chi Minh in hiswriting before he died). She truly
should have been indicted for treason, along with her radical husband Tom
Hayden, and forced to pay the consequences.

This country has started to soften by not enforcing its laws, which is another
indication of a Republic about to fall. All Democrats, along with the Hollywood
elite, are sending us headlong into a total defeat in the Middle East, which
will finally give Iran total dominance in the region. A lack of oil in the near
futurewill be the final straw that dooms this Republic. However, if we refuse
to let this happen and really get serious about an energy self-sufficiency program,
this can be avoided.

I am afraid, however, that we are going in the opposite direction. If we elect
Hillary Clinton and a Democrat controlled congress, and they carry through
with allowing Iran to take control of the Middle East, continue to refuse
development of nuclear energy , refuse to allow drilling for new oil, and
continue to do nothing but oppose everything Bush, it will be over in terms
of what we view as the good life in the USA .

Now, do I think that all who do not support the war are un-American---of
course not. They just do not understand the importance of total victory
in that region. Another failure of George Bush is his inability to explain to
the American p~ople why we are there, and why we MUST win. By the
way, it is not a war. The war was won four years ago. It is martial law that
is under attack by Iranian and Syrian outside influences, and there is a
difference.

So, what do I believe? What is the bottom line? I will simply say that
the Democratic party has fielded the foulest, power hungry ,
anti-country , self absorbed group of individuals that I have observed in
my lifetime. Our educational system is partially to blame for allowing
the mass of America to be taken in by this group. George Bush has done
the best he can with the disabilities that he possesses. A President
must communicate with the people. And, I would tell you that Desert
Storm spoiled the people. Bush Senior's IOO-hour war convinced the
people that technology has progressed to the point that wars could be
fought with no casualties and won in very short periods of time. I
remember feeling at the time, that this was a tragedy for the US
military .To win wars, you must put boots on the ground. When you put
boots on the ground, soldiers are going to die. A President must make
the war decision wisely, and insure that the cause is right before using
his last political option. However, CONTROLLING IRAN AND DEMOCRATIZING
THE MIDDLE EAST IS THE ONL Y CHOICE IF WE ARE HELL-BENT ON
DEPENDING ON rnEM FOR OUR FUTURE ENERGY NEEDS.
